‘University House: The heart of the Australian National University’ is a new exhibition highlighting the history and significance of University House through a selection of items from the University Archives. Items include photographs, drawings, correspondence, and other historical material that tells the story of the House’s development and evolution since the 1950s.
The exhibition explores University House’s changing functions, its relationship with the University, and the people who have helped form its identity. By bringing these archival materials together, the exhibition highlights the importance of University House not only as a physical landmark and the University’s first permanent building, but also as a site of intellectual, social, and cultural significance within the life of ANU.
Now showing at University House, Australian National University.
