Newly described ANU photographs

At the ANU Archives we have just finished processing a new collection of ANU photographs, slides, negatives, video tapes and cassettes that highlight the history of the university and include thousands of images of the campus, buildings, staff, students, visitors and events between the 1950s and early 2000s, as well as images of the Canberra region.

Most of the early images were taken by the photographers at the Australian News & Information Bureau, with later images taken by the ANU Photographic Services team. 

We hope to be able to digitise the collection in the future so that it will be accessible via the ANU Open Research website, but for now we're sharing some of our favourite images of the ANU Acton Campus and buildings from the collection.
